MTR – REBRAND (CONCEPT)
Mavaalli Tiffin Room, known more popularly as MTR, was originally established in 1942 as one of Bangalore's oldest and most well known South Indian Restaurants. Later, due to a food control act passed during India's state of emergency, MTR turned towards the instant food sector in order to sustain itself. Described as a legendary name in South Indian Comfort food, MTR continues to pride itself on not only its rich history and supreme quality homemade food and spices, but also on the ideas of culinary tradition and secrets, authenticity and innovation. With this in mind, I proposed to rebrand MTR's brand Identity and packaging to better convey its roots and provide a consistent and appealing aesthetic for both local and international consumers.
